Tourism and events are becoming intrinsically linked. With events such as music festivals, cultural celebrations, sporting events attracting millions of tourists each year, it is a great time to be a professional with training in both these areas.
Through USQ’s joint delivery dual award program, you will graduate from your degree with two qualifications – a Diploma of Events from TAFE and a Bachelor of Business and Commerce (Tourism and Events Management).
You will first complete a Diploma of Events at TAFE or an equivalent accredited body, and then apply directly to USQ to complete your Bachelor of Business and Commerce courses. You will also need to apply to have your studies assessed for credit towards the Bachelor of Business and Commerce (Tourism and Events Management).
With your major in Tourism you’ll gain the expertise to work in the tourism industry anywhere in the world with specialist knowledge in sustainable tourism and cultural tourism. Pair that with Events Management, and you will have the skills and expertise to manage festivals and events for the tourism industry.
